The fishing prices for Scarborough Harbour are:
Harbour Act 1964 - Scarborough Harbour Dues & Charges
Effective as from the 1st day of April 2009
All dues payable within 24 hours of entry or demand. Failure to comply may result in on-cost charges for administration. All calculations of overall length will be inclusive of fixtures and fittings.
Fishing Vessels
Every type of commercial fishing vessel, per metre of overall length per day or part there of: £1.40
An annual due provided the following conditions are met, per metre of overall length per annum: £6.90
Conditions
A vessel intending to fish regularly from Scarborough Harbour will be required to declare the fact by completion of an application form to the Harbour Master and to provide proof of insurance.
From arrival until commencement of fishing the daily harbour dues be charged.
From the commencement of fishing the daily harbour dues be charged for the days spent in port.
The ad-valorem dues on fish landings be charged.
At the end of a 13-week period from the commencement of fishing, vessels which have fished regularly from the port will be allowed to compound the daily dues on an annual basis, the difference between the daily dues paid during the first 13 weeks and the annual compounded dues will be credited against fish landings by way of four equal payments during the following 12 months.
Evidence of regular fishing will be by comparision of fish landings with boats of similar size and type.
Locally Licensed Small Passenger Vessels
Passenger Boat Licence issued on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency

Locally licensed small passenger vessels, open boats and other boats not exceeding 24 metres in length, licensed to operate from the Harbour carrying passengers. Inclusive of passenger dues.
To carry a maximum of 8 passengers. Per metre of overall length or part thereof.
Period 1 April to 31 October: £32.45
Period 1 November to 31 March £16.35
To carry a maximum of 12 passengers. Per metre of overall length.
Period 1 April to 31 October: £42.35
Period 1 November to 31 March: £21.30
Vessels may only be licensed to carry passengers after satisfactory examinaton of the boat and its equipment and proof of having a requisite certificate of insurance is produced.
A commercial fishing boat paying compounded fishing vessel dues may apply to have the above rates redued by 10% when licensing to carry passengers. A locally licensed small passenger vessel, licensed for the summer period only and left in the harbour or on a slipway or flat shall pay the appropriate due laid down in the schedule for the winter period.
Rates on Goods Shipped, Unshipped or Transported Within the Harbour
Fuel oil per 1000 litres or part thereof: £0.10
Fish of all kinds including shell fish (whether sold by auction or by private sale), upon the gross amount realised by the sale in the pound: £0.045
Overlanded fish sold on Scarborough Fish Market, upon the gross amount realised, by the sale in the pound: £0.03
Bulk herrings from boats specifically fitted out to catch herrings and where the catch is predominantly herrings, upon the gross amount realised by the sale in the pound. £0.02
Nephrops (whether sold by auction or by private sale), upon the gross amount realised by the sale in the pound: £0.02
Rates for use of Harbour Facilities
Static Cranes
Vincent Pier crane per lift: £16.55
West Pier crane per lift: £7.12
West Pier electric hoist per 500 kilos or part thereof: £1.75
Use of lifting equipment (per lift): £5.50
Electric Charges
For use of electric plugs for lighting or small hand tools, per day or part thereof: £5.95
For use of electric plugs for welding or use of heavy equipment per hour or part thereof: £5.95
Use of North Wharf electricity supply for shore power to fishing vessels per day or pro rata £26.35

Rates for use of Harbour Premises
Salmon cobles and locally licensed passenger vessels not taking out winter licenses but remaining in the harbour, unless fishing regularly commercially, per metre of length per week: £0.85
For the use of a berth by any commercial fishing vessel laid up for fitting out, repair, awaiting decommissioning, ceasing to operate or any other purposes, per metre of length per day: £1.40
In the case of laying up of any commercial fishing vessel whose owner has compounded the annual dues, the owner will not be charged lay up dues for the first 13 weeks provided the vessel has fished regularly for the 13 weeks prior to laying up or decommissioning.
Slipway
Vessels using harbour slipways and flats for the purpose of cleaning or repairs.
1 April to 30 September per metre of length per day or part: £0.95
1 October to 31 March per metre of length per day or part: £0.34
For each and every use of a slipway to launch or remove vessels except where this is included in the harbour dues. £10.90
Where a boat is launched and removed during one tide, only one charge will be made.

Grid Blocks
Advance booking will be acceptable only with advance non-returnable payment) per day or part thereof:
Vessels not exceeding 10 metres length overall: £11.65
Vessels between 10 metres and 20 metres length overall: £17.35
Vessels exceeding 20 metres length overall: £24.35
Gound Rates
For any boat, boat trailer or cradle left on any wharf, pier or slipway top for laying up, cleaning or repair.
Per square metre of space occupied per week: £8.05
Porportional charge per day or part thereof will apply. No boat, trailer or cradle shall be left without permission.
Where a boat having an assigned berth is to be placed in the harbour a period not exceeding 24 hours will be allowed before the ground rate charges apply provided that prior permission regarding the positioning of the boat or trailer has been obtained.
For the use of the North Wharf for fitting out or alteration or repair of fishing vessels. By prior arrangment only and at the discretion of the Port Manager and with written consent.

Proportional charge per day or part thereof will apply.
For the use of any space on any wharf pier or slipway for any purpose not otherwise specified in the schedule or the subject of a special rental agreement.
