Harbour Act 1964 - Scarborough Harbour Dues and Charges
Effective as from the 1st day of April 2008
All dues payable within 24 hours of entry or demand. Failure to comply may result in on-cost charges for administration. All calculations of overall length will be inclusive of fixtures and fittings.
Private Pleasure Craft
Annual dues inclusive of slipway dues and the provision of drinking water, per square metre: £22.45
When ascertaining the size of the boat, the maximum length and breadth will be inclusive of fittings such as fixed bowsprit, pulpit, fixed outboard motor and rubbing stake, working to 2 decimal places.
Annual dues cover the year 1 April to 31 March.
Please note – From 1 April 2008 it will no longer be possible to pay any harbour fees in instalments.
Harbour Dues and charges for private pleasure craft may be paid by instalments subject to the following provisos:
such instalments be payable on the 1 April and 31 July and be of equal amounts
in any case where payment of the second instalment is not made by 31 July, a surcharge of £30.00 be imposed
in any case where payment of the second instalment and surcharged is not made by 31 August 2006 berthing rights be withdrawn
Private Pleasure Craft moored in the upper limits of the outer harbour may have the annual dues reduced by 10%.
Annual dues apply only to Private Pleasure Craft allocated permanent moorings.
Note: Multi-hulled vessels will be charged 1.5 times the above rates.
Boat tenders and dinghies breaching the relevant Code of Conduct for such vessels may be removed from the harbour.

Static Cranes
Vincent Pier crane per lift: £15.90
Use of lifting equipment (per lift): £5.30
Electric Charges
For use of electric plugs for lighting or small hand tools, per day or part thereof: £5.70
For use of electric plugs for welding or use of heavy equipment per hour or part thereof: £5.70
Where a metered electricity supply is provided by the harbour to premises or a company or an individual a charge for electricity equivalent to that charged by the Electric Company will be levied. Additionally a standing charge per quarter will be levied.

Slipway
Vessels using harbour slipways and flats for the purpose of cleaning or repairs.
1 April to 30 September per metre of length per day or part: £0.91
1 October to 31 March per metre of length per day or part: £0.33
For each and every use of a slipway to launch or remove vessels except where this is included in the harbour dues: £10.50
Where a boat is launched and removed during one tide, only one charge will be made.
Annual slipway launching permit: £149.10
Grid Blocks
Advance booking will be acceptable only with advance non-returnable payment) per day or part thereof.
Vessels not exceeding 10 metres length overall: £11.20
Vessels between 10 metres and 20 metres length overall: £16.70
Vessels exceeding 20 metres length overall £23.40
Gound Rates
For any boat, boat trailer or cradle left on any wharf, pier or slipway top for laying up, cleaning or repair.
Per square metre of space occupied per week: £7.75
Porportional charge per day or part thereof will apply. No boat, trailer or cradle shall be left without permission.
Where a boat having an assigned berth is to be placed in the harbour a period not exceeding 24 hours will be allowed before the ground rate charges apply provided that prior permission regarding the positioning of the boat or trailer has been obtained.
