A waiting pontoon is placed on the end of the Fish Pier from April to October to accommodate vessels waiting for bridges.
Further into the harbour Whitby has a swing bridge with access beyond this onto Endeavour Wharf, the Upper Harbour and Whitby Marina. The key harbour related buildings, jetties, pontoons, wharfs piers and the slipway are also displayed.
The map also illustrates where the Commercial areas and the Private areas are located within the Harbour
