Harbour Act 1964 - Whitby harbour Dues and Charges

Effective from 1st Day of April 2008

All dues payable within 24 hours of entry or demand. Failure to comply may result in on-cost charges for administration. All calculations for overall length will be inclusive of fixtures and fittings.

Private Motorboats, Yachts, Pleasureboats and Houseboats

(All vessels must display a name)

Plus 25% for multi-hulled craft Per year (per metre of overall length): £37.70
Rowing Boats - excluding yacht tenders per year: £59.50

All measurements will be to the nearest highest 0.10 metre.

Upper Harbour Development - Berthing and Mooring Fees

(In addition to Harbour Dues)

All calculations of length will be inclusive of fixtures and fittings.

Plus 25% for multi-hulled craft except that any multi-hulled vessel with a beam in excess of 4.5 metres will occupy only one berth and be charged at double the mooring fee and harbour dues.

For the period 1st April to 31st October:

West Side - Single Berths

Per metre of overall length: £110.75 (min £843.75)

Main Pontoon

Outside berths per metre of overall length: £73.80 (min £672.85)
Inside berths per metre of overall length: £73.80 (min £562.50)

Drying Pontoons

Per metre of overall length: £48.55 (min £338.80)
(Inside moorings are at Harbour Master’s discretion at half of normal rate)

Drying Pontoon

Storage of craft

For the storage of craft during the period 1st November to 31st March: £1.10 (min £6.45) per metre of overall length per week

(Emergency storage of craft at Harbour Masters discretion during summer season will be charged at double winter rate.)

Storage of Tenders

Period 1st April to 31st October: £23.20
Period 1st November to 31st March: £23.20

(Storage adjacent to slipway for dinghies tending craft on moorings.)

At Annes Staith Pontoon, Tenders - period 1st April to 31st October: £26.20

Sailing Dinghies other than Tenders

Period 1st April to 31st October (includes storage, harbour dues, unlimited launches on slipway): £255.00
Period 1st November to 31st March additional storage: £23.20

Marina/Pontoon Electricity Supply

Tokens available in denominations of £1, £5 and £10

Marina Amenity Block

Washing Machine: £2.20 (inc. VAT)

Marina Users Car Park

Bona fide visitors and slipway launches only. Car parking subject to availability of space at the discretion of the Harbour Master.

Daily Charge: £5.00 (inc. VAT)

Arrest Fee: £53.05
Key Deposit for security gates: £10.00 (inc. VAT)
