Pilotage at Whitby Harbour is compulsory for all vessels of more than 37 metres length overall.
Pilotage can be arranged through the Harbour Office giving 12 hours notice where practicable.
The pilot will board about 2 cables west of the Whitby lighted buoy.
Charges are applicable for the Pilotage service.
The pilot boat and crew at Whitby can be hired for non-pilotage duties. Sufficient notice must be given.
