Boat in Whitby Harbour

Pilotage fees are applicable at Whitby Harbour. Fees 2011/12

For Every Vessel Entering or Leaving the Harbour

Based on length of vessels (for every metre or part thereof): £1.41
Attendance / Detention: £42.00
Tug Operation: £4.95

The above fees are paid by the Competent Harbour Authority (CHA) to the Pilots under a separate contract.

Fees Paid to Scarborough Borough Council (CHA)

Pilot Boat Operation (Boarding and Landing Fees)

Vessel length of <60m: £105.00
Vessel length of >60m and <70m: £126.00
Vessel length of >70m and <80m: £136.50
Vessel length of >80m: £147.00

Tug Operation

Fee: £31.50

Pilot Boat

Non-Pilotage Duties Per Hour Or Part Thereof: £80.10 plus

Boarding and Landing (per person): £21.00

The above fees are collected direct by the CHA out of which the following Boatmen’s fees must be paid (per hour):

Boatmen (Whitby Pilot Boat)

Weekdays, Normal Hours: £11.90 per hour
Weekdays, Normal Overtime: £18.90 per hour
Weekdays, Midnight to 6.00am: £23.65 per hour
Saturdays: £18.90 per hour
Sundays: £23.65 per hour
